How We Began
In the early 90s, Debbie Lewis began her hobby of buying and collecting
Christmas memorabilia when her husband, Charles “Kevin” Payne, was
serving a tour of duty in Korea with the Air Force (93-94). While
living in Tampa, the couple visited a Christmas open house at the
home of Magali Flores. Flores, a Cuban immigrant, and her
family decorated their home to show others the blessings and
miracles that God had given them.
Debbie and her
husband began the Christmas display when they moved to Niceville
because to them it is all about sharing and making Christmas bright
for others. They enjoy being a part of families’ traditions of
touring the display and taking their family photos. After 20 years
of presenting the display, they are definitely a tradition for many
Niceville families.
